Snickerpoodle Dog Treat Recipe
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup honey
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup plain fine dry bread crumbs or cornmeal
1 teaspoon cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, or baking spice
Preheat oven to 400° F. Mix vegetable oil, shortening and honey together until smooth.
Add egg and beat well. Blend in flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Mix bread crumbs or cornmeal with spice of choice.
Roll into scant 1-inch balls. Roll balls into mixture. Place on cookie sheet that has been sprayed with a nonstick spray.
Press the balls down with a fork twice going in 2 different directions, or press with your favorite cookie stamp. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
